It is the sort of event that disgusts socialists. That people should be celebrating death, destruction and militarism but we have even got the Lord Provost of Glasgow celebrating the same nonsense at this awful Armed Forces Day. (Sunday Express, 30 June)Her view and the few of millions of others is that there is something wonderful about killing people, makes us sick. We want a new society. Inside a socialist society there will be no armed conflict. There will be no lord provost either talking nonsense. RD
