The recruiting campaigns for the British Army promise an adventurous and exciting career, but the reality is somewhat different for many workers. 'Up to 40,000 military personnel will suffer mental health problems because of their service in Iraq and Afghanistan, the head of Help for Heroes, the military charity said yesterday. Bryan Parry added that at least 2,000 serving soldiers are coping with physical injury or sickness, with many facing the prospect of relying on charity support and the NHS after they are discharged from the Army.'
