Recovery? What Recovery?

Research by Loughborough University on behalf of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation into the relationship between wages and the cost of living came up with figures that suggest that living costs have risen three times faster than wages. 'The report found that, since the start of the recession, energy bills have gone up by 45 per cent, public transport by 37 per cent, food by 28 per cent, rents by 30 per cent and childcare by 42 per cent.'
