Add to these tragic figures that the Indian embassy in Qatar says over 450 Indian migrant workers have died in the Persian Gulf state over the past two years. It said on average about 20 Indian migrants died in Qatar each month. Most of the workers building the infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup. Migrant workers in Qatar live in extremely inhumane and sordid conditions and they are deprived of any workplace security.
